Pada Mei 2023, Merdeka mengumumkan Estimasi Sumber Daya Mineral untuk Proyek Emas Pani sebesar 275,8 juta ton dengan kadar 0,75 gram per ton emas yang mengandung 6,63 juta ounces emas. Estimasi tersebut merupakan peningkatan dari estimasi sebelumnya, yaitu 6,35 juta ounces emas. Estimasi Sumber Daya Mineral tersebut merupakan estimasi kedua dari gabungan sumber daya antara area Izin Usaha Pertambangan IUP dan Kontrak Karya Proyek Emas Pani yang berada di Zona Baganite, setelah estimasi sebelumnya diumumkan pada Februari 2023. Pengeboran termutakhir dalam Estimasi Sumber Daya Mineral Mei 2023 mencapai 126 lubang bor sepanjang meter, ditambah 21 lubang yang masih dikerjakan sepanjang meter.
